Pastor Tom Grieb concludes our “Home Construction” series.

Throughout this series we've talked about the importance of love in family.  Last week we focused on I Corinthians 13 where Paul listed fifteen characteristics of love in an effort to offer a definition of what love is and isn’t.

This week we encounter another of Paul’s lists. This list is found in Colossians 3:12ff.  and offers a number of things that make for healthy relationships.  Paul lists compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  He also adds forgiveness.

In the end, Paul makes an appeal to love.  He says, “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds everything in perfect unity.”  He encourages us to put love into action to the end that we draw closer and closer together.  That translates to every relationship, and particularly those we have in family.
