Sarah was well past childbearing age, yet God was insistent upon holding fast to his promise that her husband, Abraham, would be the head of a great nation and that his descendants would be more numerous than the stars in the sky. Upon hearing the news that she would soon give birth Sarah laughed in disbelief. She would find God true to his word, though. Isaac would born and Abraham and Sarah would be blessed with many descendants.

“Nothing is too hard for the Lord.” That’s the message of this wonderful story. It’s not so much our faith, but God’s faithfulness that makes it so.
