This week we consider what it means to be Family-Focused.  In this regard we are saying about ourselves that “we desire to come alongside families both at home and at church in supporting, nurturing, and encouraging growth in Christ.”  We understand that the church complements what goes on at home regarding the spiritual nurture of all concerned, particularly our children.

Saint John has always stood alongside our families to help nurture our children and youth.  We recognize we are in a partnership of sorts.  Teaching our children well is a high calling both for parents and the church.  We’d do well to recognize that and do everything in our power to live that out—at church and at home.
