: Faith and Self-Reliance

January 26, 2020

Pastor Tom Grieb continues our series "Faith and..."

We often think that we can rely on ourselves to get through life.  But that only gets us so far.   When we think we are strong we are not open to resources beyond ourselves and because of that come up empty every time.  God is all about filling us with the sustenance necessary to get through this life.

The apostle Paul learned this and wrote “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (II Corinthians 12:9)
